About the owners
Tim Rebe brings over 20 years of hands-on construction and leadership experience. After working across multiple trades, he founded A. Williams Construction—named for his son, Aiden William Rebe—to build a company that reflects his high standards of craftsmanship, integrity, and accountability. As operations manager and lead estimator, Tim not only brings his own deep expertise to every project but also collaborates with a trusted network of skilled subcontractors and reliable suppliers developed over decades in the industry.
Emma Brophy, Tim’s wife and business partner, serves as the company’s administrative manager—overseeing everything that doesn’t require a tool belt. She takes great pride in leading a business that prioritizes quality, fairness, and opportunity for all employees. Before joining A. Williams Construction, Emma worked as a research economist and holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Economics from Portland State University. She values the greater creativity, compassion, and community impact this new chapter allows.
Together, Emma and Tim are active members of Portland’s recovery community and are deeply committed to service beyond the job site. Tim serves on the board of Bridges to Change, and Emma volunteers regularly with Transition Projects, supporting mailroom and emergency shelter operations. Their leadership reflects the company’s core mission—building not only strong structures, but stronger lives and communities.
